Location and Transportation

Click to Enlarge ImageCheemo Lodge is situated on Tazin Lake in the northwest corner of Saskatchewan and is accessible by air only. We fish not only Tazin Lake (200 sq. mi.), but also Tsalwor Lake, a 5 minute walk. (60 sq. mi.) and Thuicho Lake (20 sq. mi.).

Canada Map Click to Enlarge Map The best way to access Cheemo Lodge is through either Edmonton, Calgary or Fort McMurray airports. Once there you can take connecting flights to Fort Smith located in the Northwest Territories. Finally you will board a 6 passenger cessna caravan float plane which will bring you to the doors of Cheemo Lodge. Larger groups will use extra planes if required, additional charges will apply. Please note there is a 70 pounds per person baggage limit.

 

Flight information

It looks like air connection from U.S. points to northern Saskatchewan are still a major bottleneck. In Western Canada, there are four major airlines we are involved with. They are Air Canada, Air B.C., Canadian International and Time Air. We may be able to arrange a charter from Edmonton to the lodge with enough prior notice.
